Building an online community isn’t easy. Trust us, you aren’t alone if you feel that you are constantly checking engagement, likes, followers, and comments. Making sure that your audience likes your content and isn’t going to switch over to your competitor is part of social media but the challenge is pleasing your whole online community when it is composed of different groups of people. So how do we combine our audience and attract multiple different backgrounds? Try publishing outside your usual realm. This means that you don’t just post to your usual community. Blogging has made it easier than ever to upload your content to various channels and attract new targets.
Learning about your community is crucial in order to please it. Identify what hashtags, trends, and topics are popular among your audience and use these. Be vast as this will reach more people.
Don’t be afraid to change content up. If you see a post isn’t doing well, reword it, add a link or add a picture. Your content and input is always a trial and error process so learn from each post you make. If engagement seems low in the first couple of minutes add something to increase engagement. Once you identify the core fans in the community, you can tailor content to their needs and wants by providing them with the right tools, products, and materials.
